Privacy Policy

HomeReel is operated by Mi Assist Studio LLC. This policy explains what data we collect when you use HomeReel, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We write it in plain English on purpose.

2. What We Collect and Why

Account and authentication

When you create an account we collect your email address and, optionally, your name. We use this to identify your account, communicate about your subscription, and send transactional emails (receipts, generation completion notices). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

Uploaded listing photos

Photos you upload are stored in Supabase Storage under your account. They are used solely to generate your videos. Photos associated with a listing are automatically deleted 30 days after the video is generated, unless you save the listing to your library, in which case they are retained until you delete the listing or your account.

Generated videos

The video output we create for you is stored and accessible only to your account via a private URL. We do not publish your videos publicly or use them in marketing without your explicit written permission.

Payment data

We store Stripe transaction IDs and subscription status for web payments. For iOS purchases we store Apple App Store transaction references. We never see or store your full credit card number. All payment processing is handled by Stripe or Apple, each with their own privacy programs.

Usage analytics

We collect anonymized usage data (pages visited, features used, generation counts) to understand how the product is used and where to improve it. This data cannot be tied back to an individual.

3. Third-Party Processors

We use the following services to operate HomeReel. Each handles your data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

We do not use ad networks, third-party trackers, or sell your data to any party. Full stop.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Listing photos: deleted 30 days after video generation, unless the listing is saved to your library.
  • Generated videos in your library: retained until you delete the listing or your account.
  • Account data (email, name, subscription status): retained until you delete your account.
  • Payment records: retained for 7 years as required by tax and accounting law, even after account deletion.
  • Anonymized analytics: retained indefinitely (no personal identifiers).

5. Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Delete your account and all associated data (photos, videos, profile) via Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing fahim@miassist.ai. We process deletion requests within 30 days.
  • Export your data (portability) by contacting us at fahim@miassist.ai.
  • Correct inaccurate data by updating your profile or contacting us.
  • Opt out of any data sale — we do not sell personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will never sell your data.

These rights reflect GDPR (for EU/UK users) and CCPA (for California users). If you are in a jurisdiction with additional rights, contact us and we will honor them.

6. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Your uploaded photos and generated videos are stored with private access controls — they are not accessible via public URLs without authentication. We do not share file URLs externally.

No system is perfect. If you discover a security issue, please report it to fahim@miassist.ai rather than disclosing it publicly.

7. Children

HomeReel is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at fahim@miassist.ai and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of HomeReel after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
